A transparent cover (3) allows the visible light from an object to be tested to be incident on the CCD imager (5) and is formed of a material passing laser light. A fitting portion (14) between the cylindrical cover (2) and the transparent cover (3) is welded by laser light (Q) radiated from the outside of a capsule endoscope body (4).
