System for implementing rationalised boot-up procedure for computers has first and second buttons activated to implement first or second boot codes for computer to load and execute only required code segments

The system comprises a computer (130), first and second buttons and a logic responding to activation of one of the buttons. A modified boot determines whether the first or second button was activated to instruct further implementation of either the first boot code or second boot code. The first boot code responds to activation of the first button for the computer to execute conventional boot code procedure whilst a second boot code responds to the second button for the computer to execute rationalised boot code procedure configured to load other code segments. Independent claims are provided for a) method for rationalising computer operation through interface with several inputs and b) device for implementing efficient boot-up procedure.
