<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door control method and a vehicle door control system which make opening operation possible to the greatest extent practicable and which increase customer convenience even under circumstances where, for example, a power sliding door is frozen in low-temperature surroundings, or where there are variations and errors generated incident to fitting of a door or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle door is provided with a power assistance mechanism which makes possible the opening operation while receiving assistance from power. When the activation for the opening of the vehicle door from a totally-closed state is caused, the engagement of the locking device of the vehicle door is released in synchronization with the operation of a door handle provided to the vehicle door. When the vehicle door is moved under the condition, power assistance to the vehicle door is started. At this time, time check is started when the operation of the door handle is performed. When it is judged that the vehicle door has not been moved even after the expiration of a predetermined time interval from the start of the time check, the power assistance mechanism is actuated and power assistance is provided to the vehicle door. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
