<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a gas turbine engine 10. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of coupling a first turbine nozzle 50 within an engine, a step of coupling a second turbine nozzle adjacent to the first turbine nozzle in the peripheral direction to form a gap between the first and second turbine nozzles, and a step of arranging a spline seal 100 including a planar body 120. It also comprises a step of forming a catch part 122 extending outward from the body of the spline seal, and a step of inserting the spline seal into slots 60 formed in the first and second turbine nozzles to accept parts of the spline seal into recessed portions formed in the slots so that the spline seal is easily held in the slots of the turbine nozzles to easily reduce leakage via the gap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
