PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner having excellent durability and stability which causes neither an increase in greasing (fog) of a white part, nor a deterioration of image density when being continuously copied with a copying machine, a printer or the like, nor an increasing fog of an image even when receiving stress due to leaving under a high-temperature environment, nor a deterioration of a transfer rate, nor an in-machine scattering. SOLUTION: In the magnetic toner consisting of inorganic oxide by treating a surface with toner mother particles containing at least a binder resin, a magnetic substance, a charge control agent and a releasing agent, and silicone oil, relationship of a BET specific surface area (A) of the toner and a BET specific surface area (B) of a heating toner obtained by cooling it after heating and leaving the toner at 50°C for 144 hours satisfies a conditional inequality: [(A)-(B)]/(A)≤0.15.
