PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for plating and painting which is excellent in the adhesion of a plating layer, painting adhesion and surface impulsiveness; a plated molded-article; and a painted molded-article. SOLUTION: This resin composition for plating and painting comprises adding 0.05 to 80 parts by weight of a modified vinyl-based copolymer comprising anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride unit having a limiting viscosity in a specified range to, a resin composition comprising 55 to 85% by weight of a styrene-based resin and 45 to 15% by weight of a polyamide resin, wherein in the central part of the resin composition, a specified phase structure is formed.
