NEW COMPOUND HAVING TELOMERASE-INHIBITING ACTIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new telomerase-inhibiting substance. SOLUTION: The present inventors have searched telomerase-inhibiting substances from marine invertebrates in Japan neighboring waters by TRAP method, and have found a remarkable activity in a sponge: Axinella infundibula in Shikine Island. A new glycolipid sulfate: axinelloside A as an active ingredient of the sponge has been isolated, and its structure has been determined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
