PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cancer cell-specific apoptosis induction agent or cancer cell-specific anticancer agent containing a compound for inhibiting the expression of RRM2 gene as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: It has been clarified that the specific induction of apoptosis to cancer cells is caused by inhibiting the expression of RRM 2 gene without acting on normal cells. It is estimated that a compound inhibiting the expression of RRM 2 gene is a cancer cell-specific apoptosis induction agent or a cancer cell-specific anticancer agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
