Process for machining window frames

To trim the weld bead (14) the window frame (1) is brought to a jig in approximately the correct position by conveying it in a forward direction (3) and clamped. The jig allows for rotational adjustment on a rotary (9) and transverse (6) direction and is moved with the help of locating pegs (13, 13a) to bring the weld bead (14) into exact alignment with cutter (12). One of the pegs (13a) is spring loaded (15) to allow for slight deviations from a right angle. An independent claim is included for such a machining jig with rotary and transverse adjustment and locating devices. At least one of the pegs can be equipped with a pressure sensor (16). Alternative locating methods can be optical, photo-optical or laser sensors and the values can be compared with stored values in a computer.
