ENGINE TORQUE DETECTION METHOD OF CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

An engine torque detection method of a continuously variable transmission is provided to minimize loss of power and to improve durability of an oil pump and each driving system by providing optimal efficiency for control of continuously variable transmission. The engine torque detection method of a continuously variable transmission includes the steps of: (S102) detecting pulley thrust and revolution per minute in a normal driving state; (S103) deciding whether the detected pulley thrust and rpm maintain set up predetermined values; (S104) computing actual engine torque input into a continuously variable transmission when the detected pulley thrust and rpm maintain set up predetermined values; and (S105) comparing the computed actual engine torque and the engine torque input into an engine control.
