OPTICAL SHEET AND BACK LIGHT UNIT USING THE SAME

An optical sheet and a backlight unit using the same are provided to have the brightness enhanced effect and diffusing effect and to reduce the number of optical elements required for the backlight unit. Plural micro-lenses(42) are formed on a transparent base film(43). A penetration hole or a groove is formed on the upper portion of the micro-lens. The micro-lens is a convex lens shape. The micro-lenses are arrayed with a matrix shape, a honeycomb shape or a delta shape. The surface of the base film is exposed through the penetration hole of the micro-lens. The base film is made of PET(Polyethylene Terephthalate). The micro-lens has the refraction index of 1.4 to 1.7 and is made of UV(Ultraviolet) curing resin. The micro-lenses condense the light through concave surfaces around the penetration hole so that the brightness of the light is enhanced.
