FIELD: mechanical engineering; cleaning of sewage waters. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning sewage waters, removing water from settlers and cleaning water from suspended particles and dissolved chemical elements in industrial sewage waters. Proposed device includes water intake with float arranged in settler and provided with vertical rigidly installed posts. Ropes are fastened along posts, lower part of which is arranged in water intake. Ropes are made of hygroscopic material increasing in length in direction from periphery to center of float. ^ EFFECT: possibility of removal of water from settler at minimum ecological load as to mechanical admixtures and chemical elements, simplified design and reduced cost of maintaining water level in settler. ^ 2 dwg
