<p>A blade calibration gauge 10 for a bladeset 12 for a hair clipper has a moving blade 32 laterally reciprocating relative to a stationary blade 34, where the moving blade 32 and the stationary blade 34 are adjustable relative to one another in a direction normal to a direction of reciprocation. The blade calibration gauge 10 has a base 14 defining a recess 16 configured for receiving the stationary blade 34 and providing a first stop 62 for engaging a toothed edge 38 of the stationary blade 34, and a second stop 64 on the base 14 disposed relative to first stop 62 for providing a designed offset spacing for a toothed cutting edge 36 of the moving blade 32 relative to the corresponding toothed edge 38 of the fixed blade 34.
