A method and a device for controlling a flash memory are provided to support multi-plane operation by using a simple and inexpensive structure including at least two buffers. A host interface(201) transceives a control signal and data with a host(220). A flash memory interface(209) generates the control signal for controlling the flash memory(230), and transceives the control signal and the data with the flash memory. A buffer part(403) includes at least two buffers storing the data received through the host interface. The buffer part stores the data received from the host interface to one buffer and transmits the data stored in another buffer to the flash memory interface at the same time by the control signal of the host interface. The control signal inputted to the host interface from the host includes information for the number of planes, multi-plane operation type information, and address information of the flash memory performing the multi-plane operation.
