Texturisation of thermo plastic filaments - by compression under fluid pressure

Filaments are treated by a current of compressed heated fluid in a closed space, a part of the fluid escaping laterally at a controlled rate, the remainder ensuring the progression of the filaments. The space is supplied with several ends which are ultimately separated, the filaments proceeding generally along the generatrices. The process is esp. for filaments of below 200 dtex. The number of filaments treated may be from 2-8, pref. 4-8.
