The invention relates to a measuring device for detecting loads, especially torque, bending moment, and axial force, applied to rotating components such as shafts, spindles or pins. Said measuring device measures and determines the change in length caused by the load, in a non-contact manner, by means of at least one resistance strain gauge which is fixed to the component- An electronic rotor mechanism is provided, arranged in at least one protective ring (1) encompassing the resistance strain gauge, in order to feed the supply energy for the resistance strain gauge in a non-contact manner and to transfer the measured values to an evaluation unit in a likewise non-contact manner. In order to improve the accuracy of the measurement and the informative capacity of the measuring results of the measuring device, the protective ring(s) (1) can be arranged on the component in such a way that they are supported on one side or are embodied in a deformable manner in relation to the component.
