A method for providing roaming communication when an MN(Mobile Node) moves from a mobile IPv6 network to a mobile IPv4 network is provided to register the address of an MN doubly in an HA(Home Agent) of a mobile IPv6 network and an HA of a mobile IPv4 network so that the MN can seamlessly execute communication in the mobile IPv4 network in case the MN moves from the mobile IPv6 network to the mobile IPv4 network. In case an MN, connected to a mobile IPv6 network, gets out of an HA of the IPv6 network and moves to a mobile IPv4 network, the MN primarily registers an FA(Foreign Agent) of the mobile IPv4 network as its own HA in the mobile IPv4 network(S50). The MN uses a dual stack having both IPv4 protocol and IPv6 protocol. In case the MN using the dual stack moves from the mobile IPv6 network to the mobile IPv4 network, the MN uses a registration request message containing an IPv4 CoA(Care of Address) in registering the FA as its own HA in the mobile IPv4 network. A BR(Boundary Router), which exists at the boundary between the mobile IPv6 network to the mobile IPv4 network, converts the registration request message into a binding update message and secondarily registers the MN's new address in the mobile IPv4 network in the MN's previous HA of the mobile IPv6 network, based on the converted binding update message(S60).
