The proposed radioisotope densitometer is installed at a pipeline section with constant diameter within the section. The densitometer contains a gammaradiation source, which is installed at a rotary disk, a unit for setting the direction of the gamma radiation flux, which is installed under the disk, a gamma radiation receiver, a signal converter, a phase-sensitive amplifier, a reversible motor for driving the disk, a wedge compensator, an output signal converter, and a measuring unit. The gamma radiation source is installed at a spring-loaded holder that is fixed to the rotary disk.
