The invention relates to high-voltage pulse engineering and can be used as means of special equipment of law enforcement agencies. An electrical shockapparatus has a source of direct current electric energy, switch on and off unit of electric energy source, frequency converter with two outputs, high-voltage generator of voltage impulses, the first and the second contact electrodes of the electrical shock apparatus. The high-voltage generator has N stages made of capacitors, charging resistors and dischargers. Each stage of impulse generator is made of two half-stages in such way that capacitors of half-stages with charge resistors connected between first and second outputs, respectively, areconnected in parallel to each other. The first outputs of capacitors of both half-stages are through valve and additionally in series through charging resistors connected to the first and the second outputs of frequency converter in such way that to the first output of the first capacitor of the first half-stage through valve positive potential of charge voltage is applied, and to the first output of the N-th capacitor of the second half-stage through additional charging resistor negative potential of charge voltage is applied. The second outputs of capacitors of the first and the second half-stages are connected to each other in such way that the second output of the first and all up to (N-1)-th capacitors of the second half-stage are respectively connected to the second outputs of same capacitors of the first and the second half-stages of voltage impulse generator.
