A controller cooling structure of a microwave oven is provided to easily discharge heat generated from a heating device and a manipulation panel to prevent malfunction and damage due to overheat of the manipulation panel and the heating device. A controller cooling structure of a microwave oven includes a cabinet(70) having a cooking chamber(72) with an opened front side, an outer panel to surround the outside of the cabinet, a door(71) to open and close the opened front side of the cooking chamber, and a manipulation panel(78) to set various cooking conditions and to drive or stop the microwave oven. The cabinet includes a tray(76) installed on the bottom to load food to be cooked, and a motor installed below the tray to rotate the tray. The side of the cooking chamber forms a device room(74). In the device room, a heating device(80) including a magnetron(82) to generate microwave, a high voltage capacitor, a high voltage transformer to apply a high voltage to the magnetron and the high voltage capacitor, and a cooling fan(86) are installed. The cabinet has a stepped portion(90) formed in the rear side and the cooling fan is installed in the stepped portion so that a distance between the cooling fan and the manipulation panel can be maintained less than a predetermined distance.
