A method for controlling the motor drive for a rise of the drying rate of a drum type washing machine is provided to minimize the energy consumption by discharging the wet air in a drum to outside through driving a motor. A method for controlling the motor drive for a rise of the drying rate of a drum type washing machine includes the steps of: performing a drying course by spraying condensate while operating a heater and a fan motor when starting the drying course(S1); performing a balance dehydration after a predetermined period of time and performing a dehydration operation at a high speed(S2,S3); and repeating the drying course, the balance dehydration, and the high speed dehydration operation periodically until the drying course is completed(S4). |
