<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has isolation modules (11) each comprising outer and inner rigid pieces (12, 15) respectively fixed to a carrier structure (14) and to a vibrating equipment support (17). The pieces are connected by an isolation plug (18) attenuating the low amplitude vibrations transmitted from the equipment to the structure. A flexible stop (19) mounted on the piece (15) limits the traction-compression of the plug. The stop has an elastomer part having stiffness greater than that of the plug. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for isolating vibration generated by a vibrating equipment e.g. spatial equipment such as cold generator and force or torque actuator e.g. reaction wheel, momentum wheel, gyrodyne and energy storage wheel type actuators, utilized for controlling attitude, embarked on a carrier structure e.g. satellite, and for isolating a service module of the satellite from a payload (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The section, height, viscoelastic modulus of the isolation plug, angle between longitudinal plugs and median plane of the inner piece and angle between the median plane of the inner piece and the mounting plane of the equipment are chosen such that the vibration having low amplitude force and torque can be filtered correctly. The section, height and viscoelastic modulus of the flexible stop are chosen such that large deformation of the isolation plug during application of heavy load is avoided, thus preventing any deterioration or undesirable irreversible phenomena.
