PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a testing method for an elevator emergency call device enabling an inspector to easily check sound volume and sound quality of an intercom. SOLUTION: This testing method for the elevator emergency call device includes a first step of electrically connecting a second receiving part 44 and a second transmitting part 48 in a monitoring center 40; a second step of producing a sound by the inspector 4 toward a microphone 12 provided in an elevator and converting an acoustic wave into an audio signal; a third step of transmitting/receiving an audio signal based on the sound production from an emergency call terminal 20 to the monitoring center 40 via a communication line 30, and sending the audio signal as voice from a speaker 14 provided in the elevator and converting the audio signal into an acoustic wave; and a fourth step of determining the sound volume and quality of the voice by the inspector 4.
