A system for monitoring mobile IP user, the system mainly comprises: monitoring device, for establishing data channel with the monitored device, receiving the monitoring data which the monitored device transmits by data channel, storing and analyzing the monitoring data; monitored device, for establishing data channel with the monitoring device, transmitting the received monitoring data of mobile IP user to monitoring server by data channel, releasing monitor resource after finished monitor. Also, the present invention provides a method for monitoring mobile IP user. The present invention provides monitoring solution for mobile IPv4 and IPv6 by above solution, monitoring the mobile IPv4 user and IPv6 user, real time monitoring and afterwards analyzing for various application, for example, VOIP(IP phone), data transmission and Email, etc, based on mobile IP.
