Provided is a rubber composition for the inner liner of a radial pneumatic tire for tubeless truck and bus which is improved in heat resistance, tensile strength and fatigue resistance. The rubber composition comprises: 100 parts by weight of a rubber material which comprises 60-90 parts by weight of a halogenated butyl rubber and 10-40 parts by weight of a recycled butyl rubber; and 2-10 parts by weight of diethylene glycol. Preferably the halogenated butyl rubber is bromobutyl rubber or chlorobutyl rubber.
