The threshold (1) is assembled of a slightly inclined outer profile (1/1) made of aluminum and an inner profile (4) made of a suitable synthetic material for better insulation. A shallow linear elevation (2) comprising a groove (2/1) is located at the inwards pointing edge of the outer profile (1/1). The groove (2/1) accommodates a magnetic element (3/1) in an upside down positioned u-shape with outer segments of different lengths in order to adjust to the inclination of the profile (1/1). The door or window (5) is fitted with a complementary magnetic element (3/2). An independent claim is given for a complete sealing system.
