<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking imaging apparatus capable of performing photographing without missing even important information present in the background of an object and photographing video images easily visible for a viewer, and a tracking imaging system utilizing it. <P>SOLUTION: The tracking imaging apparatus comprises: an object detection part 202 for detecting the position of the object from an image for which a part within a specified reference viewing angle is photographed; a gesture detection part 203 for detecting a position where a specified gesture indicating an optional place by the object is performed; a graphic detection part 205 for detecting the position of an indication region which is a region where meaningful information indicated by the gesture is gathered; and an image segmentation part 209 for extracting a display viewing angle for which the center of the specified position of the object and the position of the indication region is the centroid from the photographed image.
