OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device effectively preventing a submarine phenomenon without impairing comfortable sitting.

SOLUTION: This occupant protection device 31 is provided in a seat part 12. The occupant protection device 31 is constituted of an inflator 24 and an air bag 25. A distal end side of the air bag 25 is internally folded from a rear side of the seat part 12 of a seat 11 toward a front side. The internal folding in this case is a folding way to fold the distal end side of the air bag 25 one time so that the distal end side may project into the air bag 25. An internal folding part 251 on the distal end side of the air bag 25 is mounted in a flat state on a rear part supporting wall 191. The internal folding part 251 is arranged in the outside of the storing recessed part 21 and on a rear side of the storing recessed part 21.
