PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch system utilizing optical interference and a router for optical information communication, which is capable of routing an optical signal as it is. SOLUTION: An optical switch system (1) includes an input part (2) for an optical signal, a main Mach-Zehnder waveguide (MZ<SB>C</SB>) (7), a first intensity modulator (9) which is provided in a first arm (4) and controls an amplitude of an optical signal propagated in the first arm, and a second intensity modulator (10) which is provided in a second arm (5) and controls an amplitude of an optical signal propagated in the second arm (5).
