PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high traction performance irrespective of a road surface situation. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire for running on an irregular ground is configured so that its tread part is furnished with a block pattern where a plurality of blocks 9 are provided apart from one another in the tire circumferential direction. The blocks 9 include a plurality of center blocks 9C whose center of gravity g lies in the tread central region Cr having a 50% spreading width as 0.5TW, where TW signifies the tread spreading width. The block pattern is arranged so that unit patterns UP patterned identically are repeated in the tire circumferential direction. One unit pattern UP includes 3-20 pitch patterns PP as the pattern between the pitch lines PL passing the center of gravity g of the center blocks 9C and stretching in the tire width direction. The unit pattern UP includes at least three sorts of pitch patterns having different lengths being the tire circumferential direction lengths, where the ratio of the maximum pitch length to the minimum is 105-130%.
