PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion beam type suspension which reduces the stresses exerted in a joined portion with trailing members at both ends of a torsion beam. SOLUTION: The torsion beam type suspension S includes: a pair of right and left trailing members 1 in which a front end 1a thereof is pivotably supported by a vehicle body, and a rear end 1b suspends a wheel; and a torsion beam 2 having an open face which is opened on the front side or the rear side of a vehicle and extending in the right and left direction of the vehicle, and intermediate parts 1c of the pair of trailing members 1 are joined with each other at both ends 2a of the torsion beam 2. A patch member 4 for connecting the trailing members 1 to the torsion beam 2 is arranged on an inner side wall 1d of the trailing members 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
