PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving equipment which synchronizes shaft revolutions of a carcass and a mounting head, and a method for mounting a tire cord. SOLUTION: A driving system for mounting the tire cord to an annular surface of a core, i.e. a mounting arm with a cord mounting head, includes: a mounting arm 36 which reciprocates around a first shaft, traversing an annular surface 43 in normal and opposite directions; a cord mounting head 34 which has at least the mounting arm 36 to locate one or more cords in normal and opposite directions on the annular surface 43; a first ring motor 46, to which the mounting arm 36 is connected allowing reciprocation in normal and opposite directions; and a second ring motor, to which the mounting arm 36 is connected so that indexing can be carried out by rotating the core in harmony with its movement.
