PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel cutter for brittle materials in which neither chips nor the edge defect of a incision line easily generates when forming a rib mark. SOLUTION: The wheel cutter includes a revolution wheel object 2 having a cutting tooth 1 to form a rib mark, wherein a plurality of long grooves 11 are formed along the slant face of the cutting tooth 1 by a laser beam machining and ground so that R may be attached to the edge region of the long grooves 11. The cutting tooth 1 can be provided with a circumferential polishing surface with smoothness and accuracy, the pressurization resistance to a glass surface from the edge region of the grooves can be weakened when incision is made to form a rib mark.
