PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser which can ensure successful character erasure work, can be manufactured at low cost, and can be easily put in a pen case etc. SOLUTION: A plurality of groove parts 2 with an almost V-section are juxtaposed in parallel on the end surface of an outer periphery. In addition, a ridge top part 4 formed of intersecting tips of tilting side surfaces 3 which form a V-shape in each adjacent groove part 2, assumes a sharp edge, and extends in parallel with the groove parts 2.
