PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a charge volume to make a purge discharging amount approximately constant from the beginning to the end of use of ink. SOLUTION: A recovering apparatus is equipped with a printing head 14 and an ink cartridge 21 storing the ink fed to this printing head 14. A pressing part 24 through which the ink flows from the ink cartridge 21 to the printing head 14 is provided in an ink passage 22 between the ink cartridge 21 and the printing head 14. In the pressing part 24, a compressed air fed by an air pump 25 is once accumulated in a charge tank 26 by closing an electromagnetic on-off valve 28 for providing a pressure. By opening the on-off valve 28, the pressure is provided to the ink in a nozzle of the printing head 14 by pressing the ink in the pressing part 24 by the compressed air.
