PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for displaying changes of a subject according to time in a 3-dimensional ultrasound image formed based on 2-dimensional ultrasound images without using a 3-dimensional probe. SOLUTION: The method for displaying ultrasound images comprises (a) a step of forming a plurality of 2-dimensional ultrasound images having serial numbers based on ultrasound echo signals sequentially input from the subject, (b) a step of selecting a prescribed number of 2-dimensional ultrasound images having continuing serial numbers out of the plurality of the 2-dimensional ultrasound images, (c) a step of superposing the selected 2-dimensional ultrasound images to form the 3-dimensional image, (d) a step of eliminating the 2-dimensional ultrasound image having the first serial number out of the selected 2-dimensional ultrasound images, (e) a step of selecting the 2-dimensional ultrasound image having the serial number next to the last among the stored 2-dimensional ultrasound images out of the 2-dimensional ultrasound images formed in the step (a), and (f) a step of repeating the steps (c) to (e) at a predetermined times.
