<p>1348356 Coated plastics sheet SEKISUI KAGAKU KOGYO KK 30 March 1972 [30 March 1971] 15113/72 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions B5 and C3] A sheet, suitable for use as an interlayer for a laminated safety glass, comprises a polyvinyl acetal resin plasticized with from 20 to 80 parts by weight of a plasticizer per 100 parts by weight of the resin, and a nobomane compound of the formula: wherein R 1 and R 2 are each an alkyl group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms and X is cadmium, barium, zinc or magnesium, the plasticized resin being coated with the norbomane compound. In the Examples a polyvinyl butyral resin, which has been mixed with ethylene glycol, mono-methyl ether and triethylene glycol-di-2-ethyl butyrate and extruded into a sheet, is dipped into a solution of the cadmium salt of 2-methyl-norbomane-2-carboxylic acid in normal hexane and containing ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and dried.</p> |
