<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a force transmitting member, capable of achieving light weight without deteriorating high rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: To provide a force transmitting member (torque transmitting arm 6) is for transmitting force of a force generating device (rotary actuator 4) installed on the side of a joint for adding assisting force or resisting force to motion of a leg to a leg part (thigh part T). Parts of it to face a side surface, a front surface, and a rear surface of the leg are integrally formed. Especially, the part (main arm part 6b) to face the side surface of the leg part is branched diagonally forward and rearward at a part (branch part 6c) that is integrally formed with the part to face the front surface of the leg part, and the part to face the rear surface of the leg part.
