PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct frequency characteristics in a digital television broadcasting repeater arbitrarily in a digital television broadcasting repeater. SOLUTION: An IF stage of transmission conversion units 15a and 15b is provided with a frequency characteristic correction circuit 86. The frequency characteristic correction circuit 86 comprises pass (PASS) circuits 91a to 91d for making, for example, a signal pass, attenuators (ATT) 92a to 92d of 1dB, 2dB, 4, dB and 8dB, building out networks (BON) 93a and 93b of 0. 5dB and 1dB, and equalizers (EQ) 94a and 94b of 0. 5dB and 1dB and is configured to be able to correct a frequency characteristic by switching the pass circuits 91a to 91d, the attenuators 92a to 92d, the building out networks 93a and 93b and the equalizers 94a and 94b arbitrarily by switches.
