摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup unit capable of maintaining high read performance by reducing abrasion at a contact part where a subordinate shaft and a conveyance body come into contact with each other. SOLUTION: The conveyance body 9 provided with an objective 16 is guided by a main shaft 8 in a radial direction of a disk 99. The subordinate shaft 17 is provided in parallel to the main shaft 8 and inserted into a cylindrical bearing 18 and the peripheral surface of the subordinate shaft 17 is received by the bearing 18, which can move to and away from the subordinate shaft 17 in the direction of the axis of the subordinate shaft 17. The bearing 18 is vertically sandwiched between two bearing fitting parts 19 and 20 formed on the conveyance body 9 and especially, the vertical movement of the bearing 18 is restricted. The lower surface 19a of the bearing fitting part 19 abutting against the bearing 18 is a convex columnar surface having a generating line parallel to a direction orthogonal to the axis of the subordinate shaft 17.
