PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide contact bonding postcard paper which is quite free from a curtain crack phenomenon, enables long-time coating and excels in the stability and the balance of a peeling strength of a bonding surface formed by coating and in color ink sticking properties and plate wear resistance, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A free-falling vertical curtain coating method not being accompanied by classification and a recycling use is adopted on the occasion of application of a composition for a bonding layer which is constituted mainly of a pressure-sensitive bonding agent showing neither adhesion nor bonding properties in an ordinary state and being peelable by pressing, a particulate filler and a water-soluble polymer, and thereby the contact bonding postcard paper having the bonding layer provided on a paper substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are constituted. In this case, the particulate filler is a cubic precipitated calcium carbonate of which the particle size of one side being 2μm or less occupies 85% or more and of which the average particle size of one side is 0.6μm or less, and the water-soluble polymer includes a partial saponification type polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of 82 mol% or less and a polymerization degree of 1,700 or more, and an alkylcellulose compound.
