PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength of a cross pipe between a pair of rear arms while suppressing an increase in weight in a saddle riding type vehicle. SOLUTION: In the saddle riding type vehicle provided with a pair of left and right arms 2a and the cross pipe 2c for connecting the pair of arms 2a; and a shock absorber 6 connected to the cross pipe 2c directly or through links (3, 4), the cross pipe 2c has a thick part 2d over the approximately whole length between the pair of arms 2a; and a thin part 2e relative to the thick part 2d over the approximately whole length between the pair of arms 2a.
