<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio relay system and to extend a communication range. <P>SOLUTION: A subscriber station is made to belong to one multicast group by a relay station unit by imparting the same multicast CID, and an exclusive contention period is allocated to the group.
