PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate for pets capable which by itself can be adjusted to both installation modes of prop type and self-standing type. SOLUTION: The gate for pets comprises a gate body 2 formed substantially equal to or a little narrower than the width of a passage at its installation site and provided with installation holes 21 and threaded holes 22 at its both side edges, stretching devices 3 for holding the gate body 2 in a standing-up state by turning the adjuster handles 33 of threaded parts 31 detachably inserted into the installation holes 21 at their other ends to stretch the gate between the confronting walls of a corridor or the frames of an entrance, and self-standing devices 4 detachably provided at both sides of the gate body 2 by way of the threaded holes 22 for allowing the gate body 2 to stand for itself on the floor surface, wherein the installation modes of the gate is selectable between the standing-up state by means of the prop devices 3 and the self-standing state by means of the self-standing devices 4.
