The arm support system (2) comprising a sleeve (12) for surrounding the user's arm an arm support (4) including: a base (6) for engaging the thigh; and an upper surface (20) for supporting the arm and a temporary attachment means (16, 18) for attaching the sleeve (12) to the arm support (4).
