<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance for accepting an authentic bank bill and for ejecting a counterfeit bill in a bank bill discrimination machine, so as to avoid loss of sales opportunity with high discrimination accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A bank bill 1 inserted from an insertion inlet 2 is carried inside a transport path 5 by means of a transport roller 3, and the authenticity of the bill 1 is judged by a CPU 10. At this time, by means of an optical sensor 6 and a magnetic sensor 7, thickness, color, pattern data and magnetic ink coating distribution data of the bill 1 are collected, and also by means of an ink jet head 12, a special ink for authenticity judgment is applied to the bill 1. Then, the color of the bill 1 in a portion to which the above special ink is applied is detected by an optical sensor 13 being disposed along an identical line to the optical sensor 6, and the authenticity of the bill 1 is judged based on the above plurality of kinds of data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
