<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved content use control configuration based on a region code check program. <P>SOLUTION: In the content use control configuration permitting use of contents stored in an information recording medium according to regions, a region code check program is included in a reproducing program compatible with the contents stored in the information recording medium. With this configuration, even when a check program compatible with one content leaks, the leakage does not affect the region code check of the other contents. Moreover, it becomes possible to control the use of the contents in various modes corresponding to the contents, such as permission of using contents in two or more regions and time limit set contents, by recording the check program in a program compatible with the contents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
