<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the seal performance of a gasket while the generation of deformation of a separator is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A first seal member (an adhesion layer, for example) 12 is spread along the surface direction of the separator 3 in a state that at least a part of the first seal member 12 is overlapped on a second seal member (a gasket, for example) 4 in the stacking direction of unit cells C<SB>n</SB>, and in addition, the thickness of the first seal member 12 in a region overlapped on the second seal member 4 out of the first seal member 12 is made thinner than a thickness in a region not overlapped on the second seal member 14.
