<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a photosensitive drum, a developing device, a transfer device, and a cleaning device from being damaged due to the adhesion of charge carriers constituting a magnetic brush charger at the end part of the charge carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A charge carrier coat area end part c2 of a charging sleeve of the magnetic brush charger is arranged on the outside of a developing sleeve inner magnet end part b2 of the developing device 4 and an intermediate transfer body end part (transfer member end part) about the width-direction center of an image forming area and arranged on the inside of a fur brush end part e1, and a cleaning blade end part e2 is arranged on the further outside of the fur brush end part e1. Consequently, the developing device, the transfer device and the cleaning device can be prevented from being damaged due to charge carriers generated on the charge carrier code area end part c2 and stuck to the surface of the photosensitive drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
