<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter capable of stabilized monitoring of light output intensity and capable of realizing low costs and small scales. <P>SOLUTION: A monitor circuit 13 in the optical transmitter 10 includes a transistor 18a with an emitter connected to a PD 12 and a base connected to a current source circuit 19; a transistor 18b with a base connected to the emitter of the transistor 18a, an emitter connected to a constant voltage source 24, and a collector connected to the base of the transistor 18a; a transistor 18c with an emitter connected to the emitter of the transistor 18b, and a base and a collector connected to each other; a transistor 18d with an emitter connected to the collector of the transistor 18c, a base connected to the collector of the transistor 18b, and a collector connected to an output terminal 23; and a resistance element 20 connected to the collector of the transistor 18d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
